HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I have just published in our Creative Spirit East Photographers Productions folder on my YouTube page, my first best of the year compilation of photos I presented during our Creative Spirit East Photographers meetings. This is the first of what I hope are many slideshows going into our Creative Spirit East Photographers folder on my YouTube page. I encourage other members to try the same thing and send me your videos, I will share them in our folder! Chris Jackson Creative Spirit East Photographers co-ordinator

Recently, I was contacted by Joel from Artsy about a page he saw on this website which featured a tribute emulation to Yousef Karsh in an "Emulating your favorite photographer" photo challenge from October 21st, 2013:
http://creativespiritsphotography.weebly.com/-april---october-emulating-your-favourite-photographer-photo-challenge.html He commented that he had a page dedicated to the works of Yousef Karsh called Artsys Yousef Karsh Page that he thought might be interesting to share with visitors to my website: https://www.artsy.net/artist/yousuf-karsh If you're interested in exploring the works of this great portrait photographer, check it out! Posted by: Chris Jackson Creative Spirit East Photographers coordinator On the afternoon of Thursday November 15th , the first of monthly seminars on different topics on photography was held at Veith Street Gallery. The first topic: Creating photo galleries and slideshows on our Creative Spirits Photography website.
The following people in attendance, aside from me, were: Lamont Dobbin Elizabeth Eaton Mike McCarty Helen Morrison Dean Morton Doug Murphy Jon David Welland A few things I want people to take away from this seminar:
I mentioned yesterday that the website did away with the option of choosing the colour of your banner. In fact, they did not.
I have revised my handouts in accordance to the suggestions that were made during the seminar and will be e-mailing them out to you in the very near future.
Chris Jackson Co-ordinator, CSE Shutterbugs Hello Everyone! Over the past month, the members of the CSE Shutterbugs have been paying homage to the Halloween season with our "Spooky" Photo challenge. Please check out recent works by Mike McCarty, Doug Murphy, Aura-Lee Mahoney, Kaithleen Carter Steeves and myself in our perspective pages and see our slideshow of our favourite pics on our home page, of which there is more to come! Just wanted to let you all know that we have a new album of photography by CSE Shutterbug members Elizabeth Eaton and Doug Murphy. Go to our home page and take a look! Chris Jackson Co-ordinator, CSE Shutterbugs Hello everyone!
As you can see, we have been renovating our website and one of the things that has gone AWOL in the process in the album of pics I had on the home page showcasing my pics from the "Out Of This World" exhibit at the NS Museum of Natural History. I will put this album back on the home page in the very near future. Thanks for your patience and I hope you like our new look! Chris Hello!
Just a quick note to point out that the "Out of this World" slideshow that appeared in this blog has been moved to our home page to make new content as I have moved pictures from our CSE Shutterbugs slideshow to the artist's pages. Here are the best three pics I took of the 6x6 display and the members of the CSE Shutterbugs on August 17th, 2012
During our August 17th photoshoot we visited 4 places, Public Gardens, Bengal Lancers Paddock, the Internetworking Atlantic building that houses our 6x6 project from 2008 and lastly the "Out of this World exhibit at the NS Museum of Natural History.
Here are the few pics I took at the Bengal Lancer's paddock, unfortunately, the horses were on vacation and so could not grace us with their presence but they'll be back after Labour Day! Last Friday, 8 members of the CSE Shutterbugs (including myself) went on a photo shoot. We covered the Public Gardens, the Bengal Lancers paddock, The Internetworking Atlantic building which houses our 6x6 project, first shown in 2008 and finally the "Out of this World" exhibit at the NS Museum of Natural History. |
